Manual Handling Safety Course
Overview
To obtain basic knowledge and skills for the manual handling of goods in the workplace.

Who Should Attend
- Supervisors and Team leaders
- Those employed in occupations where repetitive lifting of objects is required
- Health and Safety Representatives
Course Outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge of types of manual handling risks in the workplace
- Describe injury risk reduction measures for manual handling in the workplace
- Use safe manual handling practices with mechanical aids in the workplace
Pre-Requisites
- Be in employment
- Be 16 years of age or over
- Applicants for whom English is a second language must meet IELTS (or equivalent) Level 5.0 (General Training). Proof of this will be required.

Duration
Half a Day (4 hours)
Attendance Capacity
Minimum of 8 trainees and a Maximum of 10 trainees per programme.

Course Fees
$203.30 + GST per person
Course costs include all learning materials and completion certificate. Costs also include registration of unit standard credits with NZQA.
