Back Injury Prevention Training Course
Overview
This back injury prevention course is to provide traing that enables an understanding of the the causes of back injury in the workplace and strategies to help prevent them. This course is about reducing risk in your organisation through increasing worjer awareness and knowledge.
Who Should Attend
Any employee who is involved in planning and/or undertaking manual handling, including bending, lifting and carrying heavy object. You may also be interested in the Manual Handling Training course.
Course Outcomes
- Describe the structure and function of the spine
- Identify the risk factors for occupational back injury
- Identify back care techniques
- Identify work place control measures to reduce the risk of back injury
Pre-Requisites
- Be 16 years of age or over
- Applicants for whom English is a second language must meet IELTS (or equivalent) Level 5.0 (General Training). Proof of this will be required.

$209.72 + GST per person
Course costs include all learning materials and completion certificate. Costs also include registration of unit standard credits with NZQA.
