Move and Place Loads using Mobile Plant
This key training course allows the completion of units 30442 and 17695. Through this course, operators will understand and apply the principles of attaching, lifting, moving and placing loads using mobile plant.
Who should attend
This course is designed for anyone who through the course of their role are required to use mobile plant to lift, move and place loads.
Course Content
- The principles for using mobile plant for lifting and moving loads.
- Risk management associated with lifting, moving, and placing loads.
- Types and inspection of lifting attachments on mobile plant.
- Communication for lifting, moving, and placing operations and communication with Dogman
- Establishing the weight of the object being lifted and the included lifting angle.
- Attaching and pulling a load.
- Preparing and performing lifts
This Course is based on industry Best Practice, equipment on the worksite and relevant company procedures.
Pre-requisites
- Unit standard 30072, Demonstrate and apply knowledge of slinging regular loads safely is required to be completed prior to entry into this course.
- For entry into all AMS Group courses, trainees must be 16 age or over. Applicants for whom English is a second language must meet IELTS (or equivalent) Level 5.0. Proof of this will be required.
