To learn the tools and techniques required to effectively identify and control workplace hazards and assess risks.

  • This course is recommended for anyone looking to complete a permit to work, issuer or receiver.

Course Objectives

  • Describe hazards that may harm workers, the environment, and organisations
  • Explain health and safety requirements for hazard control
  • Describe hazard control methods
  • Identify hazards and apply risk assessment procedures

Pre-Requisites

  • Be 16 years of age or over
  • Applicants for whom English is a second language must meet IELTS (or equivalent) Level 5.0 (General Training). Proof of this will be required.

Course costs include all learning materials and completion certificate. Costs also include registration of unit standard credits with NZQA.
