Knowledge of Slinging Regular Loads Safely
Overview
Crane operation is a specialist skill, the completion of unit 30072 is the starting point for crane operator and dogman qualifications and establishes the pre- requisite requirements for entry into future training.
Who should attend
This course is designed for anyone working or wanting to work within sites where cranes are currently being operated. As the foundation unit for all future crane operator and dogman qualifications the completion of this unit is an essential first step towards further training.
Course Content
- Knowledge of hazards, hazard control, and lift planning.
- Knowledge of lifting gear and working load limit (WLL) tables.
- Preparation for, and slinging regular loads safely.
This Course is based on industry Best Practice, equipment on the worksite and relevant company procedures.
Attendance Capacity
Future crane training sets a maximum number of attendees per course. AMS Group sets the maximum attendance for this course to reflect the requirements of future course options. Maximum attendance will be 4 – 7 learners.
Pre-requisites
For entry into all AMS Group courses, trainees must be 16 years of age or over. Applicants for whom English is a second language must meet IELTS (or equivalent) Level 5.0. Proof of this will be required.

Course Fees
$545+ GST per person
Course costs include all learning materials and completion certificate. Costs also include registration of unit standard credits with NZQA.
